Sunday May 25th we are seeing the newest movie in the Chronicles of Narnia series: Prince Caspian.  We are meeting at the Braintree AMC theatre at 4pm to see the 4:25 showing.  Tickets cost $10, and don't forget to invite your friends and family!

It's that time of year again: time to go without food for 30 hours so that others around the world may eat.  We will be starting the famine at noon on Friday, April 18 and continuing until our break-fast at 6pm on Saturday the 19th.  This is the start to your school vacation week so you will have the whole week to recover.  We also get the opportunity to serve others in a variety of different ways over the course of the event.  Further details are still to come, but what we need to do now is raise some serious money for World Vision.  This year the bar has been set at $180 per person... Can you reach that goal and feed a child for 6 months!?  See Jon if you still need a famine packet.  Also, lets use this blog to post how much each of you has raiseded so far to encourage others to do so as well, along with any ideas for fundraising that you have found to be successful.

Waiters/Waitresses needed

Last year 5 of volunteers helped serve dinner at the annual Friendship Circle dinner held at Fort Square. We did such a good job, and had so much fun that they invited us back again.  Last year each student that volunteered earned a good amount of money to put towards their mission trip. so this year we need the first 6 volunteers to sign up for this event. It is a great way to get to know some of the older folks at the church, and have a fun time while doing it. You will need to be at the church by 6 pm on Tuesday the 8th. After clean up, we should be out by 9. This is an event for High Schoolers looking to raise money for the Mission Trip, so sign up by adding a comment ASAP.

"The Sequel"   March 18th, 4-7pm

Oasis invades Sr High youth group this week for a special 3 hour event.  'Winter Blast' in January, the last time we combined groups, was, well... a blast!  In fact, it was so fun, we needed to do it again, this time reuniting new friends who met and hung out during Berea.  Bring your friends and get ready to play games, worship with a special apperence from Josh Knowlton, and feast on the biggest ice cream sundae spectacular you have ever seen!  All we need from you is to bring your favorite ice cream topping, so post a comment below to sign up for what you are going to bring. 

DON'T FORGET!!  No Oasis this Friday night, Jon will not be here so don't show up, save your energy for Sunday.  Also, the bet is still out there, if you get 50 people to show up at any one Youth Group, Paul Bammel and Jon have agreed to be dressed up like a girl, with a dress, makeup, hair and everything.... just in case you needed any more reason to ask your friends!  And don't forget to sign up for Lazer Tag on the 24th,...

High School Lazer Tag Challenge on March 24

Meet at the church at 2:30 so we can head over to Randolph to meet up with the Youth Group from St. Paul's Church of the Nazerene In Duxbury.  They have challenged us to a match, it is time for us to step up and defend our honor!  The cost is $20.  We get to play two games and then will come back to our church for Pizza and fellowship.  There are a maximum of 16 spots available so sign up soon!

Providence Bruins Game March 30th

Our Sr High crew will be meeting up with the Oasis guys and girls to invade Providence for a night of hard hitting hockey action.  Only 20 tickets are available for this game, so again, you need to sign up ASAP!  Tickets cost $10.  Also, we have a chance to go to Fire and Ice to eat dinnner before the game.  If you would like to go, leave a comment  at the bottom of this message.  If we went to Fire and Ice for dinner, it would cost an extra $12 and we would have to leave the church by 4pm.

Sign Up and tell...

Break out your Hawiian Shirts and grass skirts cuz the beach is coming to Fort Square.  This Friday night from 7-9 we will crank up the heat, see how low we can go with the limbo, and then cool off with some frosty smoothies.  We will even introduce a new group name and theme for our growing youth group family.  Bring your friends and don't be late as the party will start right on time.

Also don't forget to check out the pictures of us roller skating last Monday night.  Eleven of us took the trek down to Whitman to join His Kids Ministries in their monthly "Christian Skate Night".  Neil and Ricky started slow, but learned how to stay up on their skates quickly, while Anthony and Jay posed a fearsome duo decked out in their hockey pads and helmets.  Taelese and Marissa couldn't be taken off the rink, whle Brianna prefered to stay off the rink and cheer everyone on. Adam and TJ skated circles around both Jon's who were just happy they didn't end up with too many bruises on their knees!  All this while getting a chance to listen to Relient K, Skillet, Casting Crowns, Audio Adreneline,...
